Why We Built This Site
Washington offers several forms of public access, yet no single office keeps every part of a person's history. The Thurston County Sheriff's Records and Public Disclosure Section handles agency reports and related material. Corrections maintains booking and custody records. Superior, District, and municipal court clerks hold their filed cases and dispositions. The Washington State Patrol maintains the statewide WASIS repository and provides public WATCH searches, while the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry serves a separate public-safety purpose. This site brings the verified contacts, fees, official links, and request steps for those channels into one local reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Official office routes: contacts for the Thurston County sheriff, court clerks, and Washington record systems
- Record instructions: ways to search court case files and use District Court record channels
- State check details: how name-based WATCH searches and WSP fingerprint reviews differ
- Record relief context: Washington vacation and sealing routes and the court that receives a filing
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Washington court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. That limits what the site can provide:
- It cannot issue a certified court copy, rap sheet, or other official record
- It cannot submit a public-records request or vacation petition for a visitor
- It cannot perform an official background check or obtain a person's file
- It cannot offer legal advice about a charge, warrant, conviction, or case
- It cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, phone, or hours have not changed
Only the office that maintains a record, such as the sheriff, court clerk, or Washington State Patrol, can provide its official copy.
Search Partners
Outside providers power some search boxes displayed on the site. Each provider controls its own service, results, prices, and terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports this free reference resource. We do not set the provider's charges and cannot control the information it returns.
